I am allowed the privilege of helping my clients create their own sense of home for their family. And I love what I do!

My approach to each project is to really listen to the client and even the space itself and take inspiration from both. From the initial meeting to the project’s end it will be a team effort. I have no set agenda at the start - each room and client is unique and deserves to be heard and expressed. I go beyond the obvious and pull a variety of styles and ideas to make a space better than before.

The greatest compliment you can receive is when someone says your home really suits you. That means I have done my part in shaping your own sense of HOME that you share with the world. Enjoy.

I hold a degree in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

"I worked with Lynn on our new home build. It was an outstanding experience. My house would not be the beautiful home that I still love every day without her professional and caring work. I highly recommend The Mansion to anyone with decorating needs, regardless of style, size of project or budget."

Over the past 20 years, I have had the pleasure of applying my visual and spatial talents to create interiors with warmth, charm, and attention to the fine details. I appreciate the repurposing of objects to use old and new treasures together. I love the challenge and excitement in making a space come alive through color, pattern, and unexpected arrangement of furnishings.

As a graduate of Iowa State University, I have worn many hats within the interior design industry. From visual merchandising, to window treatment design, to furnishing a home, I have found one common thread…Good design is built on the relationship between the designer, the client, and the space. Projects I find most rewarding are those in which a space is transformed so much that the client now utilizes and enjoys it to its fullest potential. Having the right combination of a designer’s touch and the client’s personal style makes this truly possible.

Design has always been a huge part of my life. My mother is a deeply creative soul who inspired me to get outside the box. She has always excelled at event planning — designing spaces and events for people in her community — and as a carbon copy of her, I followed suit in a creative field, as an Interior Designer.

I obtained my B.A. in Interior Design from Iowa State University, a CIDA Accredited program, and have pursued this career path at firms in Minneapolis and Des Moines. In 2017 I was honored at the Top Designer Conference as a Regional Top Designer in the Midwest with a large national interior furnishings organization.

My favorite part of design is telling a visual story. I love getting to know my clients and telling their story through design. With each project, I strive to create a unique reflection of them and bring their initial vision to reality in a way that exceeds their expectations. I bring details of the client’s style and personality to a space through creative color choices, textures, and architecture. From modern to traditional and anywhere in between, I enjoy working with all types of design styles. I bring my eye for design, skill, experience, and passion to the table with each project. Come to me with your design problem and individual style and I will help you bring it to life!

Even as a young child I have always been interested in interior design and allowing spaces to reach their full potential in both beauty and function. My hobby of dreaming up spaces for dolls in childhood turned into picking colors and arranging furniture for friends, which spurred me to pursue a career in interior design.

I obtained my B.A. in Studio Art and honed my path further by achieving my Interior Design Certification. Several years ago I became involved with the Tiny House Movement and became interested in minimalism. Living in a Tiny House for the past two and a half years, I know more than ever how important interior design is to creating a space that feels relaxing, safe and comfortable, is a refuge from the hustle-and-bustle of the world, and is efficient and functional for your everyday lifestyle. My focus of design gives importance to the space itself and our environment – to make a beautiful space that brings you joy and that is also kind to the planet.

My whole design philosophy centers on helping my clients develop a personal style for their interiors. Personal style is central to one’s individuality, whether it is in the clothes you wear or the rooms you live in. The job of today’s interior designer is to help develop a client’s point of view and edit from their interiors what isn’t consistent. Not that design should be static -- there are too many influences in the world for interiors to remain static -- but as designers we must help clients evaluate what truly works for them, and then help them realize their dream environment.

I joined the design team at The Mansion after a career with Meredith Corporation, where I was senior projects interior designer for Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

With a background in both commercial and residential interior design, I have a passion for helping my clients create spaces that are inspiring to them personally as well as their friends and family. I do that through my work as an affiliate of The Mansion and also through my own firm, Eden+Gray Design Build.

Keeping aesthetics as an inherent priority, function and usability become my focus on all interior projects. As designers, we strive to be experts in materials, safety, scale, interest, and overall beauty. As an Iowa State University graduate with a BFA in Interior Design, as well as NCIDQ certificate holder, I value a continued and constant education. Our industry is always changing and it’s our job to remain experts in current products, trends, and design techniques.

I specialize in three-dimensional visualizations to help my clients see the potential in their spaces. Whether I am working to specify all the finishes in an interior, or laying out furniture to scale, this is a valuable tool in my design communication. The design show room is also a great resource for getting my clients connected to textures, patterns, and rich colors which all play a part in a beautifully finished space and seeing it all come together.

A big part of my design philosophy is taking care of spaces, including our planet. As an LEED ID+C accredited professional I’ve studied, tested, and continue education specifically around making the built environment as sustainable as possible. I love sharing products and techniques with clients that invest in the future for all.

I feel so fortunate to work with a team of wonderfully talented, hardworking, kind and truly good people, and am so proud that much of our business comes from returning clients or referrals; I know it speaks to the quality relationships and enjoyable service experience our clients have when they work with The Mansion team of professional interior designers.

As a small business, we are so appreciative of every single project, whether it is helping a client find a small accent piece in our showroom to assisting a family from the start through the finish of a new home build.  Our newly-refined showroom and studio is a wonderful place for inspiration, to try a seat on a piece of furniture, to see firsthand the quality of the lines we carry, or to roll up your sleeves in our workroom, which has ready access to wallpapers, rug samples, fabrics, window treatment options, etc.   The Mansion just keeps getting better, with a fresh look and updated lines for today’s lifestyles.

We carry quality lines, styles from very modern to more traditional, and price points to suit a wide range of budgets.  Please consider The Mansion if you need assistance with furniture layout or made-to-order selection, remodel or new build finish specifications, space planning, paint selection, wallpaper, window treatments, fabrics/trims, lighting, art, mirrors, floor coverings or accessories.  I put my personal guarantee on your delight and satisfaction.
